London Fashion Wannabes

If you’re sick of hearing about London Fashion Week, I can only commiserate – and apologise as I reinforce its presence on the British Fashionista’s psyche.

As you wander around the nooks and crannies of Somerset House trying to catch a glimpse of a bitch fight breaking out between models backstage, you can’t help but notice wannabes swanning around shamelessly advertising themselves for the next cover of Vogue.

The uniform is consistent: maxi pleated skirts, biker jackets, chunky black wedges and an attitude.

If you really want to embody this ‘look’, I will endeavour to help you find the cheapest pieces for you to present yourself convincingly to Ms. Wintour; just in time for the September issue.

First stop, Forever 21.

Their Starlight maxi skirt is on sale and made with a metallic-look material. The slightly figure-hugging skirt comes with a sexy side slit and is available in black and silver (pictured) or black and purple varieties.

Now £5.95 reduced from £12.80 – Forever 21

Alternatively, you can go for a more loose-fitting look with their Jersey knit skirt, with its generous spandex waist.

Asos does not disappoint with their Vero Moda full Jersey maxi skirt in black.

£28 – Asos

You can really floor them with any one of these fantastic wedges.

Asos has me almost speechless yet again with these gorgeous Albert leather wedge boots, reduced from £65 to a heady £33!

Or how about these peep-toe cutout wedges from New Look?

They’ve also got these cute canvas trainer-style wedges for a more laid back look.

Seen here in blue, these are also available in black, white and grey.

And you simply cannot forget Tesco‘s very own F&F, who are sponsoring London Fashion Week.
Their lace-up ankle boot wedges are impressive to say the least.

Until next time, you’re welcome.
